What is the Scope of this Certification?

Policy issuance
The processing and approval of a policy -- from the time a marketing officer handovers the cheque and necessary documents to the operations team -- until the same is printed & dispatched to the internal customer.

Lifecycle policy maintenance
Preserving the file and related documents as per the statutory regulations and IRDA guidelines.

Banking and accounting activities

Activities such as acceptance, deposit and clearing of the cheque for the policy premium amount.
Banking, Premium & Commission reconciliation.
Payments relating to commissions, excess refunds, endorsement refunds and claims.

Claims (High frequency, low severity)
All the individual claims, which are voluminous in numbers and are for products such as Motor, Health, Travel, Home etc. This excludes claims for corporate products such as Fire, Plant & Machinery etc.

Commissions
Processing of the Commission payout at a specified percentage as per the IRDA guidelines to Business Sourcing Agents.

Customer complaints and query resolution
This is done through an Inbound Call Center team, which receives the consolidated list of customer queries/complaints and route the same to the concerned person for resolution within the defined Turn Around Time (TAT).
