Loss or damage to the vehicle insured
Own damage
Partial theft
Total theft
Third party injury
Third party death

What are the documents required for filing a motor claim?
The documents required for filing a motor claim are :-

For Accident Claims:-
Claim form duly signed *
RC copy of the vehicle
Driving license copy**
Policy copy (First two pages)
FIR on a case-to-case basis
Original estimate
Original repair invoice, payment receipt (for cashless garage, only repair invoice)

For Theft Claims:-
Claim form duly signed*
RC copy of the vehicle with all original keys
Driving license copy
Original policy copy
Original FIR copy
RTO transfer papers duly signed along with Form 28, 29, 30 and Form 35 (if hypothecated)
Final report – A no trace report from the police saying that the vehicle cannot be located.

For Third Party Claims:-
Claim form duly signed*

Policy copy
RC copy of the vehicle

What is cashless claim service? How do I benefit from it?
Our cashless service will allow you to avail garage facility without incurring any expenses since the company would make the payment directly to the garage. We provide cashless claim service to our customers through all India network of garages. However, in case of non-cashless service, the payment incurred towards repairs would be reimbursed to you by the company.

Will a claim affect my renewal?
Yes, a claim will surely affect your renewal. If you do not make any claim over a period of time, a No-claim Bonus is offered on renewals. The discount can go up to 50%. However, if there is any claim, NCB accumulated over the years will be forfeited.

How do I make a claim?
In case of third party property damage, theft or loss to the vehicle/own damage, the incident should be immediately reported to us. You can call our 24*7 call center with your policy details or log on to www.icicilombard.com and file your request. Your policy details will be validated and a claim reference number would be issued to you.

Can I get my vehicle repaired at any garage?
Yes, you can get your vehicle repaired at any garage. However, if you opt for network garage, you can avail cashless benefit. If the garage does not fall under ICICI Lombard’s network, you have to make the payment for repair expenses and subsequently claim reimbursement from the company.

What do I do with salvage parts?
The responsibility for disposal of salvage solely rests with you. The company is not responsible for the same.

What happens in case of replacement of parts for filing a partial loss of claim?
In case of replacement of parts, the insurer pays only the depreciated value. This implies that the insured will have to bear the cost to some extent. Click here to view rates of depreciation for replacement of parts for partial loss claims.
