Mr. R Rangarajan, Technical Director of ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, has over 46 years of experience in the field. He served at various positions of authority with United India Insurance Company, General Insurance Corporation of India and The New India Assurance Company Limited. In 1996, as General Manager of General Insurance Corporation of India, he had a comprehensive overview of the technical and reinsurance operations of the entire Indian general insurance industry.

As an important member of Technical Core Advisory team to the TAC, he made significant contribution towards policies' designing and rating mechanism for various insurance covers.
He has an extensive experience in handling Techno-Marketing functions for individuals as well as mega-size industry conglomerates.

In India, he devised need-based insurance training programs, conducted workshops and lectured at several financial institutions, industries, The Port Trust, Customs etc.

An M.Sc (Statistics) from University of Madras and an A.F.I.I., Mr. Rangarajan is also a visiting faculty at the National Insurance Academy, Pune.

He has been an active participant at international conferences, seminars and workshops in the field of General Insurance. Over the years he has developed substantial contacts with various reinsurance companies and brokers in world markets.

Mr. Rangarajan has been associated with ICICI Lombard since 1999, initially as consultant for our insurance requirements and presently as our Technical Director. He has compiled and conceptualized the detailed glossary of technical terms on General Insurance that appears on our website.
