Getting there

Airways Being a major tourist attraction and an important US city, Las Vegas is well connected by the airways, with a number of national and international carriers having direct and connecting flights to the McCarren International Airport. Once in Las Vegas you can book a one-way or round-trip shuttle outside the baggage claims area to your hotel.
Limousines An option to get anywhere around in Las Vegas. The charges vary with a basic limousine for $35 per hour to about $80 if you take the luxurious stretch-limousine. They can be booked before hand and are also available as shuttles from the airport.
Taxi Service There are 16 taxi companies operating in Las Vegas valley and the fares are uniform as they are decided upon by the Nevada taxicab Authority. The meter down is $3.20.
Car Rentals Renting a car is recommended if you intend to travel a lot within Las Vegas as taxis can prove expensive.
Buses The citizens area transit or CAT is the bus transportation system in Las Vegas. The fares are usually $2 (exact change required) for two most important routes that tourists are concerned with- 301 and 302 which run along the Strip from south to the Fremont Street. The only difference is that 301 halts at each stop whereas 302 being an express has fewer stoppages.
Las Vegas Monorail Running from the MGM Grand to the Sahara Avenue, the monorail completes the 4-mile strip journey in approximately 14-16 minutes and can accommodate roughly 210-215 (sitting and standing) passengers. It operates 7 days a week from 7:00 A.M to 2 A.M, Monday to Thursday and up to 3 A.M on the other days.
Free Shuttles and Trams These services are available free on certain specific routes. On arrival do find if free service is available on your traveling routes.
