 | Vizcaya Museum and Gardens 3251 S Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33129 This Italianate palace was constructed in 1916 and is popularly referred to as Hearst Castle of the East. The architecture is detailed and refined to perfection. The Vizcaya took more than five years to complete despite over a thousand artisans working on it. It was primarily built for industrialist James Deering, who was enchanted by the 16th century architecture. Most of his personal collection are exhibited. There are perfectly manicured gardens to enhance the beauty of this estate. |
 | City of Coral Gables' Venetian Pool 2701 De Soto Blvd, Coral Gables, FL 33134 This fabulous Venetian Pool is a result of local designer Denman Fink's creative genius. It was way back in 1923 when a rock quarry underwent a sea change and was transformed into a dazzling swimming pool. It is set amidst waterfalls, canals, coral caves and other personal touches. The maintenance is immaculate with daily drainage and refill of over 800,000 gallons of water. The pool has been listed with the National Register of Historic Places. Kindly note that children below 3 years are not allowed entry. |
 | Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden 10901 Old Cutler Rd, Miami, FL 33156 The Fairchild is a lush and well maintained 83-acre property that houses a 16,000 square-foot conservatory. This conservatory shelters numerous rare flora specimens. On-site you also have an arboretum, rainforest and a research facility. This place is perfect for a relaxing stroll and there is a cafe, giftshop and a small museum to entertain you. |

 | Deering Estate 16701 SW 72nd Ave, Miami, FL 33157 The Deering Estate is a must visit for its historical and archaeological appeal. The bayfront compound excavations originally belonged to Charles Deering (James Deering's brother) and it revealed remains of pre-historic animals. Evidence suggest that the area was resided by Paleo-Indians over 10,000 years ago! There are several historic buildings here such as Richmond Cottage, 19th century Richmond Hall and the 1922 Stone House. |
