 | George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary 5191 Robertson Rd, Westham Island, Delta, BC- V4K 3N2 The wetlands near Fraser river is an ideal location for bird gazing. Over 250 species of migratory birds including swans, herons, geese, ducks, bald eagles and peregrine falcons can be viewed here. The Snow Goose Festival is held every November and on view are hundreds of birds taking a stop-rest on their long journey to the south. |
 | Museum of Anthropology 6393 NW Marine Dr, University of British Columbia Campus, Vancouver- V6T 2B5 This award-winning cliff-top museum emphasizes on arts from indigenous cultures, Pacific Northwest, First Nations and aboriginals across the globe. The collection's star is Haida artist (late) Bill Reid's sculpture " The Raven and the First Men." This museum has world's largest collection of Haida carvings. There are numerous other sculptures, totems, gold and silver ware, masks and textiles. |
 | Stanley Park West Georgia St, Vancouver, BC This is among the largest urban parks in North America. The main attractions within the park include the Lost Lagoon, Rose Garden, Lumberman's Arch, Beaver Lake, an outdoor theater Malkin Bowl, totem poles at Brockton Point, Vancouver Rowing Club, Vancouver Aquarium, Siwash Rock, Ferguson Point, and Lions' Gate Suspension Bridge. On-site there is also a water park and beaches. In summer, avail the free shuttle service to view these attractions. |
 | Hastings Mill Store Museum 1575 Alma Rd, Vancouver- V6R 3P3 Hastings Mill Store was once Vancouver's first post-office and a company's store for its lumber operation. Located next to the Vancouver Yacht Club, it is the oldest building in Vancouver. The museum has interesting clocks, muskets, early apparels and native baskets on display. |
 | Greater Vancouver Zoo 5048 264th St, Aldergrove, BC V4W 1N7 Opened in 1970, the Greater Vancouver Zoo was initially a privately owned establishment called Vancouver Game Farm. Today there are numerous varieties of animals in this world-class zoo. They include moose, bears, macaws, pythons, big cats, peacocks, snapping turtles and spider monkeys. Do include either a tour of North American Wilds Safari Bus, Safari Express miniature train or a lion and tiger feedings on your visit there. |
 | Locarno and Jericho Beaches NW Marine Dr, between Trimble and Blanca Sts, Vancouver These beaches provide a breath-taking view of the Howe Sound, Stanley Park, Bowen Island, North Shore Mountains, the city's skyline, sun-sets and more. Apart from wide sandy shorelines, both these beaches have grassy areas for picnicking as well. Locarno is the quieter of the beaches and if you want to windsurf, rent boards at Jericho beach. |
