Health and Medical Requirements

 | Governments of U.K. , Sweden, Netherlands, Finland, Norway, Malta and Italy have Reciprocal Health Care Agreements with Australia. However, this shall only provide subsidized public health services for medically necessary treatments. |
 | No vaccinations are required unless you have traveled through or come from a yellow fever infected region (within six days of your intended arrival). |
 | No health certificates are required to enter Australia. |
 | Most applicants who have received a permanent, temporary or provisional visa (that lead to the grant of a permanent visa) are required to undergo a medical examination for permanent entry. |
 | Temporary stay exceeding 12 months requires a medical examination and chest x-ray for citizens belonging to medium, high and very high risk countries.Click here to know your country's risk level. |
 | Health examination for temporary visa applicants may be required if a person is 70 years of age or above, likely to visit health care institution, hospital, school, child care center, suspected to have a medical condition or does not seem to meet health requirements.Click here for further information. |
 | Ensure that you provide correct and accurate information of your medical history and other health queries in your visa application form. Not doing so shall lead to denial of visa. |
 | If you are carrying prescribed medications, they must be clearly labeled and easily identifiable. A doctor's certificate is required if they are in large quantities. |
