2. Renewal Benefits
You get a cumulative bonus of 10% of annual sum insured up to a maximum of 50% on each renewal for every claim-free year. On regular renewals, you also get free health check-up coupons annually – one for individual policy and two for floater policy.
For example if you have a health insurance policy with a sum insured of ₹10 lakhs and you don’t make a claim, you get a 10% discount on your renewal premium.
3. Pre-existing Diseases Coverage
Health Booster offers coverage for pre-existing diseases after 24 months of continuous coverage. This feature is beneficial for treatment of lifestyle diseases.
4. Emergency Ambulance Coverage
This top-up offers ambulance charges incurred during transfer of insured person to the nearest hospital. It covers 1% of sum insured with a maximum limit of ₹ 5,000 per emergency hospitalisation. With quick approval of less than 4 hours, the payment will be made directly to the network provider by the insurer.
5. Day Care Treatment
The super top-up plan offers medical expenses towards in-patient care hospitalisation of less than 24 hours. This includes coverage for expenses towards intravenous chemotherapy, radiotherapy, haemodialysis or any other procedure that requires a period of specialised observation or care after completion of the procedure.
6. Donor Expenses
Health Booster covers the medical expenses incurred due to an organ transplant surgery in case the donated organ is for the insured. The donor expenses are limited to the annual sum insured.
7. Free Look-in Period
A free look-in period allows you to have a closer look at the terms and conditions of the coverage offered in the Health Booster Plan. If the conditions do not meet your expectations, you can initiate a cancellation within 15 days from the date of receiving the policy document at your communication address.
8. Tax Deductions
Premium paid towards your health insurance is now deductible up to a limit of ₹25,000 under section 80D of the Income Tax Act. Senior citizens can avail deduction up to ₹30,000.
9. Reset Benefit
A reset benefit allows you to have peace of mind in the event a single claim exhausts the entire sum insured. The entire sum insured is reset for the rest of the policy duration.
