May 30 2012

The new Honda Mini MPV is being marketed as your one stop solution for the fulfilment of all your wishes, be it your family or your luggage, this new car is being designed for everything to be fitted and occupied in it. Expected to be launched soon by Honda the car is meant to give a tough competition to the existing Suzuki Ertiga, it lead competition in the same class of MPVs.

Since Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is the only car for which a whole new niche was created by the company, with a record bookings of almost over 32,000 bookings within a month of the release of the new car. The car which is of B+ hatchback segment is shares the same platform with Maruti Swift. Ertiga has been manufactured keeping in mind the Indian requirements unlike other cars, who are launched in other countries first and then are later on revised as per the requirements of the Indian Market.

The new Honda mini MPV is going to be based on Honda's Concept S, which was displayed last month at the Beijing Motor Show. Further information about the features of the car has not been revealed by the company however the estimated launch date of the Honda mini MVP has been suggested to be sometime next year in China, which means that the car shall be launched soon thereafter in India, under a different name though probably.

In order to compete in the global and developing markets of China, India and Russia, Honda's Concept S has been developed keeping in mind the global platform. The Japanese car manufacturing giant, is in the process of developing a 1.6 litre diesel engine for the next generation Sedan class cars that also include Honda Civic and City, however the petrol engine to be used is the same as that of Honda City which runs on a 1.5 litre engine.

The production version of the new mini MVP has been announced to be totally based on Concept S and is reported to have a big boor space in order to occupy the third row seating with ease, not compromising with comfort. The launch of the new car in India is estimated to be around the year 2014 and the pricing of this new Honda MVP in the market is expected to be around Rs 10 lakhs.
