What are the Fees for Travel Insurance?

The travel insurance fee to Malaysia depends on a number of factors. The fee is decided on the basis of the duration of your visit and other aspects that you want to cover over the course of your visit. The factors that decide the cost of your travel insurance are as follows:

  • The number of travelers
  • The age of the travelers
  • The duration of travel
  • The nature of coverage required for travelers on an individual basis

However, age is one of the most important factors when it comes to deciding the cost of travel insurance If the age of a traveler exceeds 65 years then an additional charge is levied on the travel insurance . Additionally, if any minors are among the traveling party then depending on the provider of the policy, you may not have to pay an additional cost to add them to the policy.

The complete duration of the travel along with the number of travelers is also a deciding factor when it comes to calculating the final cost of the travel insurance. The reason is that in such a scenario, there are more variables that need to be considered by the insurance provider.

There are a number of covers available to be added to your travel insurance policy such as family travel cover, car collision cover for rented cars, student travel cover, etc. Thus, the total rate of the travel insurance will increase based on the extra covers and add-ons chosen by you. However, there is a basic bur comprehensive plan that costs a normal amount and is enough to cover basics. Interestingly, if you are traveling for medical reasons and decide to add emergency covers, then the cost of the travel insurance would be higher.

You should remember to have an adequate travel insurance policy when traveling to Malaysia. The reason is that you never know when you may have to face an emergency situation. So, if you want to ensure that you are not stuck in a foreign and unknown country without any means to help you out. If any medical emergency or any other travel emergency were to arise then it could end you causing a fortune if you do not have a travel insurance.
