The Regional Transport Office, or RTO, is a government agency responsible for maintaining the database of drivers and cars across all Indian states. An RTO’s four primary purposes are as follows:

  • Granting a driver’s licence
  • Managing and conducting vehicle excise duty collection

  • Vehicle insurance and emissions testing examination

The government has released a list of RTO forms that will assist applicants in determining what data and inputs they must provide to the RTO. Vehicle Registration Process in Hyderabad

To register a car at RTO Hyderabad, you may take the following steps:

  1. Go to the state or local RTO office and submit the required documentation and duly filled forms.
  2. Submit a demand draft for the outstanding road tax balance.
  3. Submit the required documentation and the registration form as directed by the RTO officials.
  4. Pay the processing charges.
  5. Two or three days are usually needed for the procedure . In some cases, it may take longer.
  6. After processing and verification stages are done, the RTO will provide a unique vehicle number.

Transfer of Ownership of a Registered Vehicle in Hyderabad

To transfer ownership of a car that is registered from RTO Hyderabad, you may perform the following steps:

  1. Complete the relevant RTO forms (Forms 29 and 30)
  2. Get an NOC from the state where the car was first registered. Financer NOC needed, if car is purchased via financing
  3. Obtain your PUC certification
  4. Safely obtain a certificate of auto insurance
  5. Pay all relevant fees and traffic taxes
  6. Full registration of the car
  7. Confirm the purchase and selling of a car
  8. Send in proof of age, proof of address, and passport-sized photos
