“Many a time children are not aware of their eye problems, or require glasses and they become introvert. They are not able to perform properly in schools. It does provide a major impact for a child who is now able to see clearly. The provision of spectacles is making a huge difference in a child’s future.”

“The programme is beneficial for the kids as most of the students in my school are BPL, and they get a free eye check-ups and spectacles which are very beneficial. Students from classes 5- 12 were checked in the camp.”

“I am happy to be sensitized on road safety and rules. The workshop worked as a reminder to me that I need to stay safe, and safety is in my hands. Earlier, he barely used a helmet while riding. He also used to travel with his wife and child on the same bike regularly. Post training, he built an understanding of how risky it is. Now he never forgets to wear helmet and prefers an auto or a bus to travel with family.”

“I drink water from the purifier daily and also fill it up to take home. Although we don’t have a purifier at home, my parents are happy that I can consume safe drinking water during my school hours. Earlier, the water from taps used to have a pungent foul smell and bad taste. However, the water from the purifier doesn’t taste bad and doesn’t have that foul odor anymore.”

Students in our school used to often fall sick after consuming water from the common supply. We had to ask students to bring water from home instead of consuming it at school. However, one bottle of water wasn’t enough to suffice for the day. We are thankful to ICICI Lombard for installing water purifiers and helping out the students in our school.”

The installation of water purifiers in the school has been of great help to the students. My child informed me about what he had learned during the awareness sessions on the harmful effects of not drinking safe water. This not only helps them make wise decisions but also helps us, as parents, realize how we can make changes for the better upbringing of our children.

After the training, my parents and I have realized the importance of reaching school on time. This helps us stay safe and cautious on the road, unlike other two-wheeler riders.
