Hyundai has come up with i20 Active as its latest offering in the booming compact crossover car segment. Inspired by Verna and Elite, Hyundai i20 Active features a sporty composition. Generally, a crossed variant of a hatchback comes with basic changes like side cladding, skid plates and raised suspension. External Aesthetics
The car's first-look is appealing thanks to its athletic design. It comes with an all-new hexagonal grille, revamped skid plate and chin cladding. It is equipped with fog lights, swept-back headlights with daytime running lights. With 190 mm ground clearance and roof-rails, this cross gives the impression of a sports utility vehicle.
Black plastic cladding at the side and stylish 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels add to the vehicle's external aesthetics. Two large reflector lights at the bumper, skid plate, 3-step LED tail lamps and the tailgate spoiler at end complete the car's modern look.

Hyundai i20 Active keeps the dashboard similar to that of Elite. However, one can choose between Blue Accent and Orange Inserts for interiors. Active's diesel variant holds an edge over its petrol variant when it comes to overall performance. The petrol version features a 1.2-litre Kappa dual VTVT 1197 cc unit while the diesel variant sports a 1.4-liter U2 CRDi engine with 1396 cc displacement.
Hyundai i20 Active has a five-speed manual gearbox whereas the diesel variant comes with a six-speed manual gearbox. Maximum mileage for a petrol variant is 17 kmpl and 21 kmpl for a diesel version. This car is suited for city, highway as well as countryside driving.
