4. Manila Airport Terminal 1, Philippines
5. Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport Terminal B/C, Russia

10 Worst Airports of the World:

Manila NAIA Terminal 1

The airport currently serves the general area of Manila and its surrounding metropolitan area. Located along the border between the cities of Pasay and Parañaque, about 7 kilometers south of Manila proper, and southwest of Makati, NAIA is also the main international gateway for travellers. However, the airport has not been a hot favourite among travellers for a lot many reasons. The travellers are often complaining of poor transit facilities, bribery, long unorganized queues, and insufficient seating. There have been several reports of delays in receiving bags on belt, low quality restaurants, and poor taxi services.

The airport has been claiming some services such as free wi-fi, prayer lounges etc. which have been proved as scams.

Islamabad Airport

This is the third-largest airport in Pakistan, serving the capital Islamabad and its twin city Rawalpindi in the province of Punjab. It is located outside of Islamabad, in Chaklala, Rawalpindi. Despite being the main airport for the Pakistani capital that often hosts officials and citizens from other nations, the airport fails to keep a decent reputation in terms of cleanliness, appearance, and facilities offered to travellers. The travellers regularly complain of prevalent cases of bribery and dirty toilets. It offers a pay-in lounge and prayer room.

Kolkatta Airport

Located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, the airport serves the greater Kolkata metropolitan area. It is also located approximately 17 km from Kolkata's city centre. Spread over an area of 1670 acres and rated as the largest in eastern India, this fifth busiest airport of the country fails to please the hearts of travellers. The toilets are dirty posing many health threats. Kolkatta airport is also one of the nosiest ones with a number of televisions blaring different programs in different department lounges. For facilities, it offers options for luggage storage for travellers and pay-in lounges.

Hanoi Airport

The biggest airport in northern Vietnam serving the capital city of Hanoi fails to captivate the interest of travellers. Located 28 miles (45 km) from the city's downtown, the airport has earned a bad reputation among travellers for various taxi scams, insufficient seats, and a number of safety concerns.

Kuala Lumpur LCCT Airport

This is Malaysia's main international airport and is also one of the major airports of South East Asia serving the Greater Klang Valley conurbation. Located approximately 60 kilometres from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, the airport faces many complaints from travellers related to a sense of disorganization by the management, noise, and overcrowded areas. It offers free Wi-fi and pay-in lounges.

Mumbai Airport

It is the primary international airport in Mumbai and the second busiest across the country in terms of overall passenger traffic. Passengers often complain of disorganized place, insufficient seats and dirty toilets. Not much is being done about maintaining hygiene and cleanliness by the authorities. It offers free wi-fi, luggage storage, prayer rooms, and hotel facilities.

Singapore Budget Terminal

This is the main airport in Singapore and a major aviation hub in Southeast Asia. The terminal fails to offer a cool, calm environment to travellers. It is always crowded and noisy.

Jakarta Airport

It serves as the main airport serving the greater Jakarta area on the island of Java, Indonesia. Unfortunately, it has been branded as the scariest of all domestic airports across the globe with its dark, dingy, old areas. The toilets are dirty and the place is always overcrowded. It offers pay in lounge facilities.

Chennai Airport

It is the primary airport serving the southern Indian metropolis of Chennai. Surprisingly, the regional headquarters of the Airports Authority of India for the southern region of India does not keep up to the standards for offering facilities to its visitors. The airport is not air conditioned and lacks adequate seats. The bathrooms lack hygiene and the terminal is always overcrowded.

Bali Airport It is located in southern Bali, 13 km south of Denpasar. It is presently the third most crowded airport in the country. The old building of the airport poses safety threat to visitors. The seats are uncomfortable. The area welcomes mosquitoes to feast on visitor’s blood and lacks air-conditioning.
