What is the Treatment for Waterborne Diseases?

Diarrhoea and vomiting are mainly caused by waterborne pathogens, which result in a significant loss of fluid. This loss must be replaced by providing ORS solutions or intravenous fluids.

Bacterial diseases include cholera, typhoid fever, and some forms of dysentery, which can be treated with antibiotics. Failure to seek diagnosis and antibacterial remedies prolongs these illnesses and may be fatal.
