Yes, a digital or physical copy of your vehicle’s Registration Certificate (RC) is mandatory when driving. Please have it to avoid the traffic police seizing your vehicle. According to the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act, if the vehicle is not registered with the RTO and if you are not carrying the registration certificate (either digital or physical copy) then they can levy a fine of INR 5000 for the first offence and INR 10,000 for subsequent offences.
