What are the Different Types of RTO Forms?

Given below are the set of forms provided by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to serve various purposes related to motor vehicles:

  • Form 20: Application for motor vehicle registration
  • Form 21: Sales certificate
  • Form 23: Registration certificate
  • Form 24: Registration of motor vehicle
  • Form 29: Notice of transfer of ownership of the motor vehicle
  • Form 38 A: Inspection report
  • Form 50: Bill of lading
  • Form 51: Certificate of Insurance
  • Form 54: Information report of an accident

These forms cover vehicle registration, ownership transfer, and other related processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Vehicle Registration Process in KR Puram

You must follow an organised procedure to register a vehicle at the RTO Krishnarajapuram.

According to Section 192 of the Act, driving a vehicle without registration can lead to penalties such as imprisonment, fines, or both. The penalty amount may vary depending on circumstances and traffic authorities' discretion.

It’s important to understand that complying with vehicle registration is not only legally required but essential for road safety, accurate identification of vehicles, and adherence to regulatory standards.
