The above steps may vary with various insurers.

Additional Methods to Check Bike Insurance Expiry Date Online

Besides the primary online methods, there are other ways to check your policy expiry date:

  • SMS or Email reminders:Almost all insurance providers send SMS or email reminders to policyholders before the policy expiry date to ensure timely renewal.
  • Checking the insurance provider's website:Insurance providers these days have an online portal where policyholders can log in and view their policy details, including validity and expiry dates.
  • Using an insurance aggregator website:Insurance aggregator websites allow you to compare and purchase insurance policies from multiple providers. And many of them also offer features to check the validity and expiry of existing policies.

How to Check Bike Insurance Validity Offline?

In case you do not have access to online platforms, you can check your bike insurance expiry date using offline methods.

  • Checking the policy document:The insurance policy document contains information about the validity period of the insurance plan.
  • Contacting the insurance provider:You can contact the insurance provider's customer support to confirm your two-wheeler's insurance validity and expiry date.
  • Visit the Regional Transport Office (RTO): You can visit your local RTO and request insurance details by providing your bike’s registration number.

How to Renew a Bike Insurance Policy Online After It Has Expired?

  • Make the payment online via net banking, debit/credit card, UPI, or wallets.

6. Receive the Renewed Policy

Thanks to online platforms like the IIB portal, VAHAN, and insurer websites, checking policy status has become easier than ever. If you do not have online access, you can verify your insurance details offline through the RTO or your insurance agent.
