- Visit the Insurance Information Bureau website
- Press the "Quick Links" button available on the homepage
- Next, press the "V-Seva" option, and you will receive the form to fill in
- Fill out the requested details
- Type the Captcha code
- Press the "Submit" tab
The details displayed will include the insurance policy number, the policy start and end date, and the name of your insurance company. However, this website does not have information for policies purchased after 1st April 2020.
VAHAN Portal
Here are the steps to check insurance validity on the Vahan portal:
- Visit the official website of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (https://parivahan.gov.in/)
- Move to the "Online Services" section
- Click the "Know Your Vehicle Details" option
- Enter the vehicle registration number in the required format and click "Search Vehicle"
- The system will display the vehicle details on the screen. Look for the insurance details section and check the insurance policy number and its expiry dates
