We are glad to inform you that the general insurance business of Bharti AXA General Insurance has been demerged with ICICI Lombard (“transaction”). The transaction came into effect on 8 September 2021, after receiving requisite approvals from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

Together, we aim to provide value-driven services, including improved products and a devoted and extended network of customer assistance to our policyholders. The business integration will also help strengthen our distribution network through Bharti AXA General Insurance's existing distribution alliances.

After the transaction, Bharti AXA car insurance is no longer available for a fresh purchase. Meaning, if you wanted to switch to Bharti AXA car insurance or purchase it as your first policy, you won’t be able to do so. However, you can choose to go for ICICI Lombard car insurance. Is there any change in my existing Bharti AXA motor insurance terms and conditions as a result of the transaction?

No, the transaction has no bearing on your existing car insurance of Bharti AXA. You can enjoy all the features and benefits of your existing policy irrespective of the transaction.

Is my current policy document from Bharti AXA General Insurance still valid, or will I be sent a new policy document?

The insurance policies issued under the name of Bharti AXA General Insurance does not require any revisions and will stay valid and active until the expiration date.

Is it possible to pay my existing Bharti AXA General Insurance premiums online?
