ICICI Lombard is pleased to inform you all that the general insurance business of Bharti AXA General Insurance has successfully demerged with us, effective 8 September 2021. The transaction has been effective following the requisite approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).


We aim to provide new and existing customers with value-driven products and services along with a dedicated and extended network of customer support services. The transaction will also aid in improving and expanding our distribution network.

Compassionate visit

No, the transaction will not have any impact on your claim processing. It will be processed as per your existing travel policy's terms and conditions.

What if I have to raise a complaint? Has the demerger transaction changed the grievance redressal process?

No, the transaction does not affect or terminate any existing travel plan benefits you purchased from erstwhile Bharti AXA.

Will ICICI Lombard issue me with a new travel policy, or will the one I presently have under the name of Bharti AXA General Insurance continue to remain valid even after the transaction?

No, you will not be issued a new policy document after the transaction, and the one you already have will stay active and valid until it expires.

I am holding a travel policy from erstwhile Bharti AXA; is it possible for me to pay my premium online after the transaction?

Yes, you can pay your travel premium online. After the transaction, when you try to visit the Bharti AXA General Insurance page, you will be redirected to the website of ICICI Lombard where you can not only pay your premiums online but also access all of the other services provided under your existing policy.
