ICICI Lombard GIC Ltd., one of the leading private sector general insurance companies in India, has added another feather to its cap. The US-based Stevie Awards Inc. has honoured the insurer with a ‘Bronze’ award for ‘Contact Centre of the Year’ (over 100 seats) in the Business Services and Financial Services Industries segment.
The Stevie Awards are regarded as the world’s premier business awards with the mission to recognise and generate public awareness of excellence at the workplace. The awards firm also stages seven annual Stevie Awards competitions for companies across the globe.
ICICI Lombard won the recognition owing to its implementation of multifunctional technology integration, structured processes, and customer centric metrics. The company has always been a pioneer in technology-enabled insurance solutions, and this is reflected in its tech-driven customer service initiatives. They have achieved superior customer experience since bringing its call centre operations in-house in 2014. This shift played a major role in improving system access, creating multiple touch points, and imparting in-depth training.
ICICI Lombard is a joint venture between ICICI Bank and Fairfax Financial Holdings, and is now among the leading insurers in the country. For the year ending March 31, 2016, it had a Gross Written Premium of ₹ 83.07 billion with 15.80 million policies issued and over 1.62 million settled claims.
