It is used as a certification for compliance with environmental norms and emission standards as set by the Central Government of India. It is an important document for a new vehicle as well as for the re-registration process of a previously owned vehicle.

Form 22 certifies that motor parts such as the engine, chassis, brakes, and horn need to be in “good” condition, fit for the road and meet the required environmental norms.

How to Download Form 22?

RTO Form 22 can be downloaded from the official portal of the transport department and other reliable platforms.

To download form 22, follow these easy steps-

  1. Go to the Parivahan Seva portal created by the Ministry of Road and Transport and Highways.
  2. Find the “Forms” or “Downloads” option and click on “RTO Forms.”
  3. You can also type “Form 22” in the search bar.
  4. Click on the form, download it, and save it as PDF.
  5. Get the form printed to fill it out manually.
