The Bharat (BH) Series number plate is designed to simplify the process of moving vehicles across state lines in India. This system eliminates the need for vehicle re-registration when a vehicle owner relocates from one state to another, making it highly convenient for individuals who frequently change their residence or job locations.

Owners of vehicles with BH Series plates are required to pay road tax once every two years. This tax is essential for the legal operation of vehicles on the roads. To streamline the payment process, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has launched the Parivahan Sewa portal, where vehicle owners can easily pay their road tax online. This digital payment option aims to save time and effort, ensuring that compliance with tax regulations is straightforward and accessible.

How to pay BH Series Plate Tax Online:

  1. Access the Parivahan Sewa Portal: Navigate to the official Parivahan Sewa website.
  2. Select Your State: From the homepage, choose the state where your vehicle was initially registered.
  3. Enter Vehicle Details: Input your vehicle's registration number. A prompt regarding Aadhaar-based verification may appear; click "Proceed" to continue.
  4. Initiate Tax Payment: Under the "Online Services" menu, select "Pay Your Tax." Enter the last five digits of your vehicle's chassis number.
  5. Confirm Tax Details: In the "Tax Details" section, set the "Tax Mode" to "Lump Sum Two Year." Review the auto-populated vehicle and tax information for accuracy.
  6. Proceed with Payment: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment using the available online payment methods.
  7. Obtain Confirmation: Upon successful payment, a receipt will be generated. It's advisable to save or print this receipt for future reference.

Conclusion

By paying BH Series Plate Tax Online, BH Series vehicle owners can efficiently manage their road tax obligations online, ensuring uninterrupted vehicular operations across India. Also, get car insurance to ensure that your vehicle stays protected from financial losses in case of an accident, theft, or damage due to a natural disaster.
