Introduction

Guwahati is the largest city in Assam and the largest city in northeastern India. This is a beautiful place to live and is well known for its high standard of living.

As the years go by, Guwahati’s population continues to grow, exceeding 11 lakh. As a result of people moving there searching for work and education, the population has overgrown.

Consequently, more cars are on the road, which increases the risk of accidents.

To punish violators of traffic laws, the Regional Transport Office in Guwahati enforces strict traffic laws and collects fines. As a result of this commitment to road safety, there has been an increase in the issuance of traffic fines, commonly referred to as ‘Guwahati traffic challans.’
