Pay Traffic Challan in Pune
If you are living in Pune and have broken a traffic rule, you must be wondering about e-challan payment in Pune. To pay online for your traffic challan in a hassle-free way, follow these steps:
- Visit the link mahatrafficechallan.gov.in.
- Enter your vehicle’s registration number, followed by the last four digits of your chassis or engine number, and click 'Submit.' Alternatively, you can enter the challan number and then click on 'Submit'.
- Once you are logged in, you can see the details of the traffic rule violation for which you have been fined.
- Once you have filled in all the details, you can view all the pending challans and those that were issued to you earlier.
- Click on the pending e-challan and hit the “Pay Now” button.
- You can choose any digital payment method, like UPI, debit/credit card, net banking, etc. After successful completion of the payment, a transaction number will be issued. You must make a note of this transaction number for future reference.
If you wish to pay the traffic challan offline, you can follow the below-mentioned steps:
Locate a traffic police officer carrying an e-challan machine and enter your details to pay the fine using any digital payment method, such as UPI, debit/credit card, net banking, etc.
Other options to pay offline include a visit to the headquarters of the Pune City Traffic Police Department, where you will have to mention your driving licence details and pay the fine via:
- Cheque
- Demand Draft
- A pay order in the name of the Pune City Traffic Police
