2.   Tteokbokki

A popular item from the South Korean menu that has gained quite a bit of impetus after Korean dramas is none other than Tteokbokki. These are rice cakes and can be customised with fish cake or quail eggs as per taste. The rice cakes are then cooked in a spicy sauce which is made out of Gochujang. Among the popular South Korean food items is Bulgogi. The term Bulgogi refers to a style of barbeque that originated from South Korea. Traditionally, you can make this barbecue with the help of various proteins like red meat, pork belly, or chicken. The chunks are marinated in soy sauce and sugar and then cooked in the traditional Bulgogi style.

5.   Japchae

Noodles are quite a popular food item for people in South Korea and usually there are various options available. The Japchae is a traditional glass noodle and has an amazing chewy texture. You can simply stir fry it with various vegetables or just with some chicken and drizzle the same with sesame oil. Japchae is traditionally made out of sweet potato with some broth.
