With a high volume of visitors each year, understanding the different visa requirements and their associated costs is crucial for smooth travel planning. Indian tourists should be aware of the costs involved in obtaining a visa, the various types available, and additional fees such as cancellation charges and fines for overstaying.

The visa application form can be obtained online or through a local sponsor. Requirements typically include a valid Indian passport with a clean criminal record and proof of onward travel. Applying for a visa well in advance helps avoid last-minute issues at the airport.

Let’s explore some of the Dubai visa fees for Indian citizens, along with details on the types of visas available and their application charges. Whether planning a short or long stay, knowing the visa fees and procedures will help in preparations and prevent unnecessary complications.

Do Indian Travellers Need a Dubai Visa?

Yes, travellers from India need to hold a visa to visit Dubai, whether for leisure, business trips, or transit. A visa is compulsory for Indian travellers. Always ensure you have a pre-approved visa in advance to guarantee smoother travel experiences. The good news is that the Dubai visa application process is straightforward when applying online.

Apply for the visa based on the purpose of your visit and the length of your stay. It is also important to note that the UAE government does not offer any visa-on-arrival to Indian citizens, except in cases where they hold an Indian service or diplomatic passport or have permanent residency, a residency permit, or a green card from countries like the USA, UK, or any European Union country.

Dubai Visit Visa Price: Cancellation Fees and Overstay Fines

Travellers must also be aware of the cancellation fees and overstay fines for Dubai visas.

Here is everything one needs to know:

  • Cancellation Fees

If a visa application submitted is cancelled, it may incur a cancellation fee of approximately ₹1,500 to ₹3,000, depending on the service provider.

  • Overstay Fines

An overstay on a Dubai visa incurs substantial fines. Specifically, the fine is approximately AED 200 (around ₹4,500) for the first day of overstay. For each additional day beyond that, the fine is approximately AED 100 (around ₹2,250).

  • Visa Extension Fees

One can get a visa extension if they want to stay longer. This is done prior to the date of expiration of the visa. The extension fee levied may be about AED 570, or approximately ₹12,800.

Note: Tourists must leave UAE before the visa expiration date to avoid extra fines and to ensure that their future applications are not affected.

Conclusion

Indian tourists must apply for a visa in advance to enter Dubai, as on-arrival visa options are available only for a select few. Evaluate Dubai visa fees for Indians, the various types of visas, and the associated costs before finalising your travel plans.

Additionally, foreign trip planning should include a comprehensive travel insurance plan, which is sometimes a mandatory requirement for obtaining a visa and serves as a financial safeguard against unforeseen circumstances in Dubai.
