  • 1928: Royal Enfield adopts saddle tanks in place of outmoded flat tanks.
  • 1932: The legendary "Bullet" motorcycle is born.
  • 1949: The Royal Enfield motorcycles began selling in India.
  • 1955: the Redditch Company and Madras Motors formed ‘Enfield India’.
  • 1956: Enfield India bought tooling equipment to manufacture components and became a full-fledged motor production company. They dominated the Indian market and became increasingly popular each year.
