FAQs

1. Can I find details of a stolen bike using the number plate?

Yes, you can use the Parivahan Sewa website or the mParivahan app to check basic vehicle details using the licence plate. These platforms, however, may not be able to verify whether the bike is stolen and only offer a limited amount of information. You should report the incident to the police for confirmed information.

2. Does comprehensive bike insurance help in case of theft?

In contrast to third-party policies, which only cover damages to other people, comprehensive bike insurance really does offer protection against theft. It can assist you in recovering the monetary loss if your bike is stolen, though compensation may vary depending on the policy chosen.

3. Why should I check bike details before buying a used vehicle?

Before purchasing a secondhand vehicle, it is essential to verify legal ownership, prevent fraud, and identify problems like unpaid bills or theft history. This guarantees that the bike is safe to buy and correctly registered.
