How to take an online appointment for the Pune passport office?

In order to book an online appointment, first register on the online Passport Seva Portal. Next, log in to your PSP account and select if it's a new passport or a reissue.

Fill in all required details, such as your name, place of birth, address and family information. After completing the form, save your progress and upload the necessary documents to verify your identity and address.

Next, you can select the date and time from the available slots to book your appointment.

Your appointment is considered confirmed only after you make the payment. The fees for a regular passport are ₹1500 and ₹3500 for a Tatkal application.

Once your payment is successful, you will receive the appointment confirmation receipt. You can print this receipt and take it with you to your appointment.

Passport application process in the Pune passport office

After booking the appointment, follow these steps at the passport office:

Step 1: Reach RPO Pune or PSK Pune early, depending on the appointment venue selected, and show the acknowledgement receipt or SMS.

Step 2: Get your documents verified and give your biometrics at the first counter.

Step 3: Next, you will be sent to the passport officer, who will reverify your documents and your application and approve it.

Step 4: Next is police verification. If required, you will be called for police verification within 1-3 working days. The police officer may also visit you for address verification.

Step 5: Finally, your passport will be delivered to you by post within 7 to 40 working days. If you have applied for Tatkal, it will be delivered in 7-14 working days.
