Tyre protect cover, also known as tyre protection cover, is an add-on in car insurance that compensates you for expenses incurred on repairing or replacing damaged tyres. Generally, regular car insurance does not pay for tyre damage. However, with this add-on you can replace damaged tyres without having to incur significant out-of-pocket expenses. You need to pay an additional premium to avail this add-on.
A tyre protect cover offers several benefits. Some of them are:
Tyre damage can be expensive. With tyre protect cover, you don’t have to worry about sudden repair or replacement costs. The cover takes care of the expenses and you don’t have to dip into your savings.
When damages are repaired on time, tyres last longer. The cover makes it easier for you to get quick repairs. This helps you avoid bigger issues and keeps your car running smoothly.
Tyre troubles usually come without warning. Having a tyre protection cover means you don’t need to arrange money in a hurry. It makes your car easier and stress-free.

Make sure to raise a claim from this add-on within a specified time. Intimate all claims to us within 3 days of damage. However, do note that this condition is not applicable when there’s a delay due to unavoidable circumstances.
You can make a maximum of 4 replacements of tyres/tubes under this add-on within the policy period. The policy period typically lasts 12 months from the date of issuance.
Whenever replacement of tyre(s) and/or tube(s) will be allowed, it should be of the same make and specification as fitted by the OEM. If tyres of similar specification are unavailable and the replaced tyre is superior to the damaged one, we’ll not be liable for the differential amount.
A tyre protect can be a useful add-on if you:
