New Infrastructure in Guwahati by Assam Tourism to Boost State Tourism

The Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) is all set enhance its state tourism prospects. Hence, it has decided to take all possible steps to make sure the state is a popular destination among tourists. It has also taken many fruitful steps to make Assam a better tourist place.

The Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) has decided to develop tourism infrastructure in Guwahati. The basic idea here is to provide a boost to all inbound visitor numbers. The strategies comprise of a golf course and resort in Guwahati. Two of the cruise circuits on the Brahmaputra River, and a convention centre are known to be some of the best spots for tourists.

The Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) has also planned to develop Dighalipukhuri. It is a rectangular artificial pond in Guwahati. This will be bought at an enormous cost of about 25 crore INR in order to attract various tourists and has already invited expressions of interest from a variety of consultancy firms for the project.

As said by Anurag Singh, Managing Director, Assam Tourism Development Corporation, ATDC will preserve Dighalipukhuri and establish good number of recreation facilities and lightings at the water body. Singh also added that ATDC works towards the aim of positioning Dighalipukhuri as an iconic structure in Assam.

The latest infrastructure and hard work done by the government will certainly help the state attract more number of tourists. The ministry of state of Assam is leaving no stone unturned to offer only quality products to their clients. The passengers will now be able to save a lot of time while travelling. This is for the first time, State of Assam has done so much keeping in mind the convenience of its tourists; both inbound and outbound.
