INZ’s or Immigration New Zealand’s Immigration Online system provides you the option to apply online for various types of visa but it does not allow you to apply for all visa types. You will need to upload relevant documents, photographs while the payment for the visa application fee will also be done online.

NOTE:

You may be asked to provide your passport

However, you will be notified of the same on the ‘Thank You’ page after you have submitted your Immigration ONLINE visa application. In such a case, you will need to send your passport to the nearest VAC. Additionally, you will also need to send relevant documents, and they are:

  • Your passport
  • The passport handing fee (refer to VAC website specific to your country for details)
  • Passport return courier fee (if applicable)
  • Your contact details including telephone number, e-mail address and physical address

Paper Based Application:

You can apply for New Zealand visa using paper based application forms. If you select this option, then you will need to submit the form and the documents at the nearest VAC.

When submitting an application to a VAC, you will be required to submit:

1 The application form should be completed and signed by the applicant
2 Passport should be valid beyond a period of a minimum of three months after the tentative date of departure.

Step 1: The applicant should have a valid passport for at least six months from the date the visa is applied. The passport must have at least two pages that face each other.

Step 4: Two recently taken photographs of passport size with white background must be submitted. Side views are not acceptable; it must have a full face. One photo should be stapled with the application, and the other one should be attached loosely.
